The third annual Department of Medicine Research Day took place on Wednesday, May
10th from 4 - 7pm in the Pre-Clinical Science Building. The Department
of Medicine welcomed faculty, fellows, post-doctoral scientists,
graduate students, house staff and trainees from the Department of
Medicine and Lombardi Cancer Center, and Georgetown medical students,
to exhibit poster presentations which highlight their research
projects in the clinical and basic sciences.
This year, because of generous patient donations and through the establishment of
the Charles E. Rackley Achievement Awards, five first place prizes of
$1000 each, were awarded for the best ranked abstracts in addition to
second, third, fourth and fifth place winners.

education and research program is a continued success. If you would
