| | Dr. Pearle has been selected as one of the Washingtonian Magazine Top Doctors since the inception of this award. He is listed among America's Top Physicians by the Consumer's Research Council of America, and as one of the Best Doctors in America by Best Doctors, Inc. In addition to his practice at Georgetown University Hospital, he performs interventional catheterization procedures at the Washington Hospital Center. He is the author of more than 40 research publications in the fields of heart failure, acute coronary care, and interventional cardiology. He served on the national committee which developed the most recent AHA/ACC guidelines for the care of patients with acute myocardial infarction. During his career at Georgetown, he served for six years as Acting Chief of the Cardiology Division. In addition to directing the Coronary Care Unit, he has also at various times been Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program. He was a two term President of the American Heart Association, Nation's Capital Affiliate. He is a frequent invited speaker for both medical and lay audiences.
