Fellowship Training Program
Thank you for your interest in the Georgetown University Medical Center Fellowship Training Program in Infectious Disease. The Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program is a two-year, accredited program that fulfills all requirements for board eligibility.
We are seeking talented, motivated individuals whom we hope will benefit from an academically oriented, well rounded, clinical training program. Applicants must be eligible to sit for the Internal medicine boards.
Application for the July, 2013 Fellowship Program begins July 1, 2012 and continues through August 15, 2012.

How to Apply through ERAS
You should apply for the Nephrology Fellowship Program at Georgetown University Hospital through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). ERAS is an internet-based applications process developed by the Association of American Medical Colleges to transmit fellowship applications, letters of recommendation, Program Director letters, medical transcripts and other supporting credentials from applicants, residency programs and medical schools to fellowship program directors using the Internet. Upon receiving the applications through ERAS, Georgetown will contact candidates about the possibility of an interview. Interviews will be scheduled between August and October 2012.
The “MATCH”
Once you have applied to The Infectious Disease Fellowship Program and accepted our invitation to interview with our faculty, fellows and staff, we hope you will choose to rank Georgetown at the top of your list of desirable training programs in Infectious Disease.
Georgetown participates in the National Resident Matching Program’s Medical Specialties Matching Program (MSMP) in Infectious Disease. This is a computerized venue for matching an applicant’s preferences for fellowship positions with program directors' preferences for applicants. Important Dates
1. Infectious Disease ERAS Application Process opens July 1, 2012.
2. Infectious Disease Application Deadline: August 15, 2012.
3. Interviews will be scheduled on Mondays from August through October 2012.
4. Registration for NRMP Match List opens August 1, 2012.
5. NRMP Rank order list deadline: November 14, 2012.
6. NRMP Match results will be posted December 5, 2012.
7. Fellows begin their Infectious Disease program on July 1, 2013.
