| Diabetes Studies Origin Study
Patients who have one of these conditions will be tested to see if they have diabetes or prediabetes by performing a glucose tolerance test. Patients with known diabetes may also qualify. Eligible patients will be randomly assigned to receive usual care by their regular physician, or to receive glucose lowering treatment with Lantus insulin, a long-acting insulin.
