| Cardio-Renal Society A major component in the expansion of our Hypertension Research Clinic has been the formation of the Georgetown University Cardio-Renal Society. The society has now received an educational grant that will fund a monthly dinner-lecture series targeted to increase quality educational programs for Georgetown University Medical Center physicians and fellows-in-training, as well as approximately sixty physicians from the surrounding area. Each lecture will bring an expert in the field of cardiology or nephrology to Washington, DC to discuss various aspects of cardiovascular and renal disease with a special focus on the interaction of these systems with hypertension. The lectures will include case-presentations and discussion. The Hypertension Research Clinic coordinates the Georgetown University Cardio-Renal Society.
