Hypertension and Renal Diseases in Pregnancy
Our division has a major interest in the care of women contemplating or experiencing high risk pregnancies who suffer from underlying renal disease, hypertension, vascular disorders, or who have medical regimes due to dialysis or transplantation. Dr. Jason Umans is widely published and often consulted regarding the care of pregnant women with renal or hypertensive disorders, maintains active clinical and basic research programs focusing on preeclampsia and hypertension in pregnancy, and collaborates closely with the high risk obstetrics/maternal-fetal medicine group at Georgetown to provide comprehensive care throughout pregnancy.
