Pulmonary Hypertension Center

The specialized Pulmonary Hypertension Program at Georgetown University Hospital provides comprehensive care for patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH). A broad array of diagnostic tests are available to distinguish pulmonary arterial hypertension (formerly known as primary PH), from other types of PH. Correct diagnosis is vital, since different types of pulmonary hypertension require different treatments. Furthermore, treatment for PH can be highly complex and requires expert care. In addition to providing these diagnostic and therapeutic services, the Georgetown University Pulmonary Hypertension Center also participates in research projects to evaluate new treatments for patients with PH and scleroderma.
