PGY-1 ward months occur at Georgetown University Hospital
(GUH), Virginia Hospital Center (VHC), and the Washington DC VA Medical
Center (VAMC)
PGY-1 critical care months occur at the GUH ICU, WHC CCU,
Fairfax CCU, and
ARL ICU/CCU
Emergency Medicine and Night Float occur at GUH
General Internal Medicine occurs at the GUH Internal Medicine
Office as well as the resident's continuity site
Electives are typically 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient
The elective month can
also be used as a research month, with advanced scheduling
* In addition
to 4 weeks of vacation, ALL interns and residents also have a
consecutive
six-day break during the Christmas / New Years time frame (either
Christmas week or New Years week)

Critical Care months may be completed at any of the sites
mentioned above
PGY-2s and PGY-3s complete one medicine
consult month once during either year (50% inpatient and 50%
outpatient)
Night Float can be at GUH or the VAMC
Geriatrics is split between GUH, VAMC, and the Washington
Home (a local Nursing Home run by a GU faculty member).
