Education: Division of Hospital Medicine

Our division is deeply committed to medical education. Hospitalists have served in key leadership roles within our internal medicine residency program.

Medical Student Education

Hospitalists participate in a variety of teaching activities, including instruction in physical diagnosis for second year medical students, attending on third and fourth year core clerkships in internal medicine, and facilitating medical student morning report and medical student grand rounds.  Additionally, members of our group precept and instruct in multiple first year medical school courses such as Evidence Based Medicine, Physiology and the Patients, Population & Policy Course.

Internal Medicine Residency

Hospitalists have served in key leadership roles within the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital internal medicine residency program.

Further Educational Activities

We also have involvement in the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the Georgetown University School of Nursing.
